Our NSD mega-collab at SM this weekend is called "Moments that Matter" and the whole theme of our celebration is all about those moments in our lives that really matter. At each stop you'll find a story about a Moment that Matters along with a freebie!! There are TONS of stops on this blog train, so you can pick up a LOT of goodies!!
I have so many special moments that sharing just one...well, it's hard to choose!
In one week we'll be celebrating Mother's Day, so how about my favorite Mother's Day ever...
On a gorgeous, warm September day our beautiful little daughter was born, but she had a chromosome abnormality that meant she wouldn't develop "on schedule." We went to many, many doctor and therapy appointments, and were doing our best to help her learn and grow. At 4 months old she started tracking things and around 6 months old she started reaching for things. But she was pretty much expressionless. By Mother's Day she was nine months old. That day as I held her on my lap facing me, talking and smiling to her and SHE SMILED BACK! What a treat! Although I didn't catch that first smile on film, over time she smiled more and more and I have many happy photos of her. Like this one of her enjoying a cupcake on her third birthday:
Sadly, she died when she was three and a half, but at Mother's Day I always remember that special gift she gave me on that first Mother's Day.
So that's my "Moment That Matters" story!! And now, your freebie!! I have a Quick page for you. Here's mine, a favorite photo of my parents leaving the temple right after they were married:
And here's the QP to download:

I believe we have the password issues solved now. So sorry. All our test downloads didn't ask for the password, so we thought it was removed. Again so sorry.
Beautiful QP, but I can't find the password. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteasking for a password
ReplyDeleteOh, Chelle. So sorry about your daughter. Thank you for sharing such a personal story. Never expected a blog hop to make me cry. When we click your QP to download, 4Shared gives this message "You must enter a password to access this file." We CANNOT download because we can't get past the password request to the actual download button/link. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOK. I'm so sorry about the password issue. It isn't asking for a password from me or my CT. (Must be because we've given the password for a different file in the past.)
ReplyDeleteIt shouldn't be asking anymore. But if it is, PLEASE email me at ludwin@digis.net and I'll try to fix it again.
The weird thing is like 50 people HAVE downloaded it.
So sorry.
