Memory Spark Monday

Hey Everyone, It’s LoriBear today bringing you this week’s Memory Spark Monday!  I thought a good while this weekend about what to do for today’s post and then I had like an AHH HAA moment.  We had quite a lazy day in our house yesterday and spent the day as a family cuddled up with our blankets, pillows and snack and had a Movie Day!  Not just any movie though we watched Halloween movies!  It was fantastic because not only did Mommy get some relaxing in everyone really enjoyed it.  We started with the Corpse Bride, then Monster House, then Wallace and Gromit’s WereRabbit. LOL  Tonight we ended our day with the ever classic and wonderful Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin.  As I watched my children I remembered how much I loved these times and how awesome it was to spend that time with my family when I was a child.  Curled up with my own Mom, getting totally excited for the coming Holiday.  We did this again at Christmas with the other favorites like Rudolph and Frosty.  My youngest son came up later to tell me what a great day he had snuggled between me and Dad and that right there was my moment! He gave me the biggest hug and it made me so wonderful.

The Memory Spark for this week is to think about any kind of traditions that you had as a child for holidays or times.  Have you carried on those traditions with your own children and families?  Or Have you started a new tradition at all?

I know for myself these are certainly memories that I have cherished and now as my own children experience them I add even more memories and I hope that they in turn will have theirs as well.  Who knows maybe by the time they have their own families Good ole Charlie Brown will still be a time favorite! Have fun with your Memories, journal them, scrap them or just remember!

Woo Hoo for Templates! and a blog freebie!

I love my wonderful CT members!  It's so fun to see the layouts they create each week.  This week I made a set of templates taken from layouts by Alli.  So here is "Scrap with Alli"

And since I have so many wonderful fall photos, I made a few more fall alphas.

This week you can get those alphas FREE when you purchase Midnight Crow.  Just put the Midnight Crow Bonus Alpha Combo in your cart (the price is the same as Midnight Crow).  A full kit AND 3 bonus alphas?  What a deal!

Here's some eye candy from the CT:

Don't forget!  From now 'til November 5th you can enter to win a $10 GC to Chelle's Creations store.  Just become a fan of Chelle's Creations on Facebook.  And you can get an additional entry for everyone you refer who becomes a fan.  All they need to do is write on the wall that you referred them.  We have some fun games and contests planned for our facebook friends.  Become a fan now so you won't miss the fun!

And one last thing:  CT member Krisi and I teamed up to bring you this fun Fall Hybrid Printable:

Scarecrow stew is just a packet of apple cider with a cinnamon stick to stir with and some candy corns for extra sweetness.  But it makes a cute little treat to share.  Download the freebie and make some for your friends and neighbors!

Have a great weekend!

Sneaky Peeks

Hello, everyone.  This is Liz bringing you this weeks Sneak Peeks.  And this week I have 3, yes, 3 sneak peeks for you.  I know how excited you guys must be, so let's see what we have in store:

First up is something a little new from Chelle:

Very intriguing I know.  This release is something that I think should be in everyone's stash.  Something you need when you get into those scrapping ruts that seem to happen to everyone.

Next up, is this new product that I am personally in love with.  As usual, Chelle has outdone herself and come up with a product that just works so well in so many ways.  Here it is:

Can you guess what it might be?  Hmmm, I wonder?  And for the last peek, this might be a product that some of you recognize.  If you don't, well then tomorrow is the time to check it out.  It is the perfect product for all those fall LOs that I know everyone is or will be scrapping.  Here it is:

I bet some of you recognize it this one!  I don't know about you all but all these sneak peeks make me want to put on a sweater, sit in front of a fire and sip some hot mulled cider.  Unfortunately, I have no fireplace and it is 85 degrees outside.  Oh well, I will think fall thoughts instead.  Have a great day and come back tomorrow for the big reveal!

Oooops! I Almost Forgot!

It's Memory Spark Monday! No, really, it is! Just a little bit late is all...

Becca (becca372) here with your latest round of memory sparkage. I love Memory Spark Mondays, it always gets me thinking about things...and today, well...today I was so busy thinking about everything in my life that I forgot to do my blog post until just now. You'll all forgive me for that, right? I promise, I was busy with important "stuff" (aka my niece's first birthday party, my dad's 55th birthday, a busy two year old, and a baby girl who just might have reflux and is starting meds. Fun times!

Anyway...all this busy going on, and me forgetting the Memory Spark made me think...How in the world do I keep track of everything? How can I be better organized so that I don't forget things? At school(work, I'm a teacher), I have a million sticky notes. Only problem is that they get moved around...and then I lose what I need to remember. So now I'm on to baggies...All over my classroom...baggies of things I just can't lose...haha, it may be working a *little* better. At home, there is no organization, just mass chaos. Must get this under control.

So, for memory spark Monday this week, I want you all to take some time to record how you remember not to forget things! Do you do the old "tie a string around your finger" trick? Use a day planner? Does your cell phone remind you of everything you need to do each day? Do you do like one of my co-workers does, and call your home phone to leave a message so you'll remember to do something ("June, don't forget to get the chicken out of the freezer!). Is your way the most efficient, and how can you improve it? Did someone you know have an odd way of keeping things/keeping track of things? Think about it, Write about it, Scrap about it...And remember the details of today will create the memories of tomorrow. And now, I'm off to scrap...if I can just stay organized!

It's Football FRIDAY!

Ever since I was a young girl, we've been attending Friday night football games at the high school. My DH is definitely a sports fan, so Saturdays we watch a few college games too. In celebration of the season, I created Play the Game

But I wanted the kit to work for you no matter the team you follow, so I also created six coordinating mini kits. Your purchase of Play the Game includes the red mini kit. AND a coupon for an additional Play the Game: Your team colors mini kit. Additional colors are available for purchase separately.

Look what the CT did!

(Check out Krisi's card. On the inside she wrote: "Glad I found you!" to give to her dh. How cute is THAT!)

I had lots of fun with this kit:  I used it for a layout about the Thanksgiving afternoon family football game...

a layout about our Friday night tradition....

and a layout about my ds's football experience.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Memory Spark Monday!

Hi everyone, this is Janine also known as Neeny again to bring you another Memory Spark Monday and get your week started off thinking about great memories. Fall is in the air, and I love this time of year when the leaves change and it starts to get a little chilly even though I don't really like the cold it is nice to know that those heat filled days during the summer are behind me. One thing I love about fall is taking a trip to the Pumpkin Patch with my family. We have gone every year since my son was born, and last year was his first year to really understand what was going on and he LOVED it. I loved seeing the enthusiasm on his face for everything that was going on and that he wanted to try everything out. He also kept asking to go back every single day so it definitely made a good impression on him. I am looking forward to going back again this year and seeing his face light up with joy at all the pumpkins and activities he can participate in while we are there. Take this time today to think about your favorite season and scrap about it or even just journal about it for later. What makes it your favorite season, and what do you love to do during that time of year? Since I love fall, I scrapped pictures of my son from the pumpkin patch last year using the amazing kit Midnight Crow from Chelle's Creations. Here is the page I made of my son playing in the hay maze at the pumpkin patch last year. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
