Memory Spark Monday

Hey Everyone, It’s LoriBear today bringing you this week’s Memory Spark Monday!  I thought a good while this weekend about what to do for today’s post and then I had like an AHH HAA moment.  We had quite a lazy day in our house yesterday and spent the day as a family cuddled up with our blankets, pillows and snack and had a Movie Day!  Not just any movie though we watched Halloween movies!  It was fantastic because not only did Mommy get some relaxing in everyone really enjoyed it.  We started with the Corpse Bride, then Monster House, then Wallace and Gromit’s WereRabbit. LOL  Tonight we ended our day with the ever classic and wonderful Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin.  As I watched my children I remembered how much I loved these times and how awesome it was to spend that time with my family when I was a child.  Curled up with my own Mom, getting totally excited for the coming Holiday.  We did this again at Christmas with the other favorites like Rudolph and Frosty.  My youngest son came up later to tell me what a great day he had snuggled between me and Dad and that right there was my moment! He gave me the biggest hug and it made me so wonderful.

The Memory Spark for this week is to think about any kind of traditions that you had as a child for holidays or times.  Have you carried on those traditions with your own children and families?  Or Have you started a new tradition at all?

I know for myself these are certainly memories that I have cherished and now as my own children experience them I add even more memories and I hope that they in turn will have theirs as well.  Who knows maybe by the time they have their own families Good ole Charlie Brown will still be a time favorite! Have fun with your Memories, journal them, scrap them or just remember!

  1. what a great day! talking about traditions made me think of one we continued that was my husbands. Every year on Christmas eve one present gets opened and every year its a new pair of christmas pj's! we started it last year with my daughter and she loved it! I thought of a lot of other memories too, but that one was first. Thanks for the memory spark!
